최순철 회장 등 27명 세계 방사선학회 참가

대한구강악안면방사선학회(회장 최순철)가 지난달 30일부터 지난 6월 3일까지 세계구강악안면방사선학회에 참가, 국내 방사선 학회의 위상을 떨치고 돌아왔다.
이번 세계 구강악안면방사선학회 정기총회 및 학술대회에는 최순철 회장을 비롯한 학회 회원 27명이 참가했으며, 국내에서 3개의 구연 발표와 7개의 포스터를 발표해 큰 호응을 얻었다.

구연 발표는 ▲고광준 교수(전북치대)의 Radiation effects on the calcific noduleformation in osteoblastic cells ▲강병철 교수(전남치대)의 Diagnosis of cracked tooth syndrome utilizing optical coherence tomography(OTC) ▲김기덕 교수(연세치대)의 A comparison of cone beam CT with a single-detector row helical CT for evaluation of mandibular pre-implant sites 등이 발표됐다.

또 포스터 발표에는 ▲이상래 교수(경희치대)의 Anatomical structure of lingual foramen in cone beam CT ▲김재덕 교수(조선치대)의 A fractal analysis of bone phantoms from digital images ▲최순철 교수(서울치대)의 Diagnostic performance in soft-copy interpretation of maxillary sinus pathosis on CR panoramic radiograph 등 7편의 포스터가 발표됐다.

학회 관계자는 세계방사선학회 참가 후 “한국에서 두 번째로 많은 인원이 참가, 구연 발표와 포스터 발표 등을 통해 세계 각국의 찬사를 받았다”면서 “국내 치과 방사선 영역의 위상은 세계적으로 최고임을 다시 한번 확인했다”고 말했다.
