Patient：What is the difference between denture and overdenture? 전체틀니와 overdenture의 차이는 뭐지요? Doctor ：Well!, If we make overdenture, the bone and gum do not shrink from around these remaining teeth. Therefore, there"s more stability than normal full denture. 만약에 overdenture를 만들게되면 남아있는 치아 주위의 뼈와 잇몸이 줄어들지 않아서 보통의 전체틀니보다는 훨씬 지지력이 많게 되지요. Patient：That sounds good to me. Then, how do you make overdenture? 그렇군요. 그럼, overdenture는 어떻게 만들어요? Doctor ：First, we have to do the root canal. After that we shave down the teeth and make caps or silver fillings. On the top of these teeth we make denture. That"s what we call overdenture. 먼저 신경치료를 하고 치아를 깎은 다음 치아에 cap을 씌우거나 아말감을 하고나서 그 위에 틀니를 만들어 주는것을 overdenture라고 합니다.
