서울대학교 치의학대학원(원장 이재일)이 지난 10월 30부터 31일까지 대학원 본관 대학원강의실에서 2개의 국제학술대회를 개최했다<사진>.

#The 4th Japan-Thailand-Korea Joint Symposium
30일 서울대학교 치의학대학원과 BK21 PLUS 치의학생명과학사업단(단장 류현모)이 공동 주최한 The 4th Japan-Thailand-Korea Joint Symposium은 ‘Dental Science in 2014’를 대주제로 한국, 일본, 태국 치과대학 교수들이 참가해 최신 지견을 나눴다.

이날 첫 번째 세션에서는 임원희 교수(서울대치의학대학원)가 ‘Wnt signaling regulates the homeostasis of periodontal complex’를 주제로 발표했으며, Nakarin Kitkumthorn 교수(Mahidol University, Thailand) 등이 ▲Clinical applications of DNA methylation ▲Small RNAs with a big function: microRNAs in microorganisms 등을 주제로 강연했다.

두 번째 세션에서는 김홍희 교수(서울대치의학대학원)가 ‘PMCA, a new regulator of osteoclastogenesis and bone metabolism’를 주제로 강연했으며 Sroisiri Thaweboon 교수(Mahidol University) 등이 ▲Teeth blackening: The contribution to oral health ▲Serum C-reactive protein and immunoglobulin G antibodies to periodontal pathogens may be effect modifiers of periodontitis and hyperglycemia’등을 주제로 발표했다.

#2014 International Symposium
31일 서울대학교 치학연구소(소장 김각균)와 BK21 PLUS 치의학생명과학사업단이 공동 주최한 ‘2014 International Symposium’은  ‘The present and Future of Dental Implant’를 대주제로 진행됐다.

이날 첫 번째 세션에서는 김영균 교수(서울대치의학대학원)가 ‘A variety of clinical study of Korean Implant systems’를 주제로 발표했다.

두 번째 세션에서는 Takuo Kuboki 교수(Okayama University, Japan)가 ‘Biological regenerative medicine in prosthodontic practice-to attain reliable and sophisticated dental implant therapy’를 주제로 강연했다.

세 번째 세션에서는 허성주 교수(서울대치의학대학원)가 ’Education of Implant Dentistry at Seoul National University’를  주제로 서울대학교 치의학대학원 교육과정을 소개했다.

이재일 원장은 “이번 심포지엄이 국제 치의학 임상의 및 연구원의 현황과 미래 전망에 관해 토론하는 기회의 장이 되기를 진심으로 바란다”고 밝혔다.
